I Dreamed a Dream !

Was really moved by the Susan Boyle story when a few of my friends shared with me the YouTube video of her performance on Britain's Got Talent 2009. Not only was i amazed by her performance, what seemed more amazing to me was her indifference to the frowning that the audience greeted her with when she came on stage. She had dreamed of a dream of being a professional singer, and as successful as Elaine Page -- a statement that elicits great hilarity and hyperactive camera close-ups of the judges' bemused disbelief and the snickering, eye-rolling audience. I personally think that she gave an amazingly brilliant performance. I have become her fan and shall be closely watching as to how she does in the show. Also it just drives home one more time the importance of social media and the surprises that it keeps showering us with.

Here is an article from The Herald that talk about her life and how its always the inner beauty that matters most.

The video made my day and i am hoping that i get to see more of such inspiring stuff every single day. Make life so much more bearable :) and at the same time so much fun:). I wanted to share the video performance along with the post but the embedding for the video had been disabled. You can watch it here on YouTube. Embedded below is the performance from the original singer LuPone.

Just saw the Susan Boyle episode on you-tube, and i was as struck as anyone else would and should have been.

Its truly inspirational. Its kind of a reminder for all of us, that talent is not restricted to a particular class of people ( What ever may be the classification).

Thanks Amit, my day is made, i can go back home and look to start another week with even greater urge to get things done..:)

And yeah i hope to not see such inspirational stories any more, for a simple reason, it must feel like being in hell if anyone were to be in Susan Boyle's place, or for that matter anyone who has ever been in that situation. I hope we all grow up!. That would be even more inspirational..:)

Cheers!

Umesh.

@Umesh : I know what you are talking about here.

I have not been blogging for the last 3-4 weeks, but the moment i saw the video i could not help stealing out some time to write this post. I was moved and inspired and educated not to let anyone be a victim of stereotyping by me.

@Casina: I know. I loved her. As an add-on i discovered some more amazing performances from the show , not to mention the awesome composition "I Dreamed A Dream". I guess i am ready to take back Music as an integral part of my daily life now :)
