The stories that i have heard so far are about people loosing their jobs to 'right sizing', finally getting an opportunity to work on stuff that they always wanted to, getting to do their own startup thingy, unable to take their much deserved vacation home due to the visa pressures in the US, seeing renewed vigor and razor sharp focus at their workplaces,waiting to get placed or find a summer job and a zillion more of these.
To make this a much more interesting thing , both for myself and the readers of this blog, and possible getting a lot more diverse set of stories, i have decided to poll people to see if they would like to share their recession stories ( the ones they have been into themselves or heard from friends and family members), after which i am going to compile and repost them in like a weeks time here on my blog. Don't worry all those of you who contribute will still hold the copyrights to their masterpieces and in case this become a hit, will get their due share of success ( think : book deals, movie rights and so much more :)).
Now coming to how you can share 'Your Recession Story' with me.You can either email it to me at amit(At)techadda.com OR use this simple Google form to send out your stories to me. Once i am done collecting all the stories, i shall also release the unfiltered collection here on the blog.
I am really excited and am getting looking forward to see how this experiment turns out. I hope everyone likes it.
